THIS YEAR'S THEME
BEFORE WE CAN SERVE THIS GENERATION,
WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THEM.
This year, we're focusing on the young people we're called to serve. We'll spend the afternoon diving into who they are, what they're searching for, and how we can best serve them.

Our presenters are among the leading voices in this conversation. You will be enlightened, inspired, and challenged by what they have to say.

Brock has been in youth ministry for the past 27 years and has worked in both urban and suburban environments. His most recent book, Beautiful Rebellion, cuts past unhelpful stereotypes and shows today’s teens that they are uniquely primed to use their whole selves—faith, skepticism, intellectualism, humor, big questions, and all—to bring about a world-changing movement empowered and driven by God’s love.

Brock has also been the director of training at Youth Specialties and is a popular speaker for camps, retreats, and conferences. Brock is published in many different magazines and has written a few well-received books, including Youth Ministry in a Post-Christian World, The Amazing Next and his most recent, Youth Ministry 2027. He is the youth pastor at The Falls Church Anglican and together with his wife Kelsey, released a 9 month teaching curriculum for youth groups called NEXT. Brock has also launched a new ministry called Generation514, whose aim is to develop next generation leaders.

WHAT ATTENDEES SAID ABOUT
PREVIOUS CONFERENCES:
"Thank you for a great conference! That was a great way to spend 2.5 hours. Not only do I feel inspired and empowered, I have practical tools to implement some things that have been on my heart. Thank you for the reminder that it's not my ministry, but the ministry of the Church. This reminder lifted a huge weight when I'm caught up feeling that I have to do everything, and be everything, and give everything."
– JEREMY (BUFFALO, NY) –
"I was thoroughly impressed with the Thrive Conference today. Thank you very much for allowing me to log on and be in there with you all! I liked the diversity in topics which gave me the chance to explore different facets within youth ministry. Yet at the same time the areas of concern for this conference flowed together in the similar foundational direction making them seem like so many different pieces of the puzzle which is journeying along with young people.
– FRIAR CHARLEY –
This was amazing. I love the live chat along with the conference so we could share our thoughts and struggles. I am just starting in youth ministry and loved this blast of formation and resources!
– EMMANUELA (GRAND RAPIDS, MI) –
